- Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, pumpkin puree, and maple syrup. Heat this mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently. Avoid boiling.
- Step 2: Stir until smooth, using a whisk or wooden spoon. If there are lumps from the pumpkin puree, break them down.
- Step 3: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
- Step 4: Allow to cool to room temperature before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Step 5: Shake or stir before using, and enjoy in your coffee, tea, or desserts!
