Method

Instructions
  1. Hard-boil the eggs: Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring to a rolling boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes. Drain hot water and run cold water over the eggs until cool enough to handle. Peel the eggs carefully.
  2. Cut and separate yolks and whites: Cut the eggs in half lengthwise and gently remove the yolks, placing them in a medium bowl and setting the whites aside.
  3. Mash the yolks: Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth.
  4. Mix the filling: Add mayonnaise, mustard, relish, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined and creamy.
  5. Fill the egg whites: Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  6. Decorate: Arrange black olive slices and small pieces of red pepper on top of the deviled egg filling to create a spooky Halloween design. Get creative! You can make spiders, pumpkins, or any other Halloween-themed design.
  7. Chill (optional): For best flavor, cover and chill the deviled eggs in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
