  • 16 ounces Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter melted
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Chocolate Pudding instant or prepared
  • as needed Gummy Worms
  • optional Plastic Spiders
  • optional Chocolate Shavings

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Crush chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs. You can use a food processor or a ziplock bag and rolling pin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed cookies and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Layer the cookie crumbs in small cups or glasses, pressing down gently to form a base.
  5. Spoon the chocolate pudding over the cookie crumb layer.
  6. Top with the cream cheese frosting, spreading evenly.
  7. Decorate with gummy worms, plastic spiders, and chocolate shavings (if using).
  8. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to chill.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate sandwich cookies. You can also add other Halloween-themed candies for extra decoration.
