- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: Cut the top off the head of garlic, exposing the individual cloves.
- Step 3: Wrap the head of garlic in aluminum foil, ensuring it is tightly sealed.
- Step 4: Place the wrapped garlic in the oven and roast for 30-35 minutes.
- Step 5: Allow the garlic to cool, then squeeze the roasted cloves into a mixing bowl.
- Step 6: Add sour cream, prepared horseradish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Step 7: Transfer the sauce to a serving dish and garnish with chopped chives.
- Step 8: Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
