Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 14-ounce can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips Optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • 8x8 inch baking pan
  • Whisk
  • Rubber spatula
  • Parchment paper

Method

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, and butter. Stir constantly until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture is thick and pulls away from the sides of the pan. This will take a few minutes of vigorous stirring.
  5. If using, stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  8. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. You can also add chopped peanuts or pretzels for added texture.
