Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 count Mini Hot Dogs
  • 1 8 ounce package Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard Optional, for mouths
  • 2 count Large Black Olives Sliced for eyes
  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup Optional, for extra spooky effect

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Sharp Knife

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a flat surface and separate the triangles.
  3. Place a mini hot dog in the center of each crescent roll triangle.
  4. Tightly wrap the dough around each hot dog, starting at the wide end, leaving the pointed end free to resemble a mummy's wrappings.
  5. Place the wrapped hot dogs onto the prepared baking sheet. Use small slices of black olives to create eyes. Add a small line of mustard for a mouth (optional). For an extra spooky effect, add a small drop of ketchup to create blood splatters.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let the hot dog mummies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a spicier kick, use spicy mustard or add a dash of chili powder to the dough before wrapping. You can also use different types of olives or other small ingredients for the eyes, like pretzel pieces.
