  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (2 sticks)
  • 12 ounces Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 14 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Mini Marshmallows Optional
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts Optional

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
  3. Add chocolate chips to the melted butter and stir until completely smooth and melted.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  5. Pour mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with optional marshmallows and/or nuts.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
