Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey-roasted peanuts finely chopped
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Baking dish
  • Microwave or Double Boiler
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix these ingredients together until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. Step 2: Gradually incorporate 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder into the peanut butter mixture. Stir well until the cocoa is fully blended in.
  3. Step 3: Next, add 2 cups of rolled oats and 1 cup of finely chopped honey-roasted peanuts to the bowl. Use the spatula to fold the ingredients together gently.
  4. Step 4: Line your baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish.
  5. Step 5: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt 1/2 cup of chocolate chips until smooth. Drizzle the chocolate over the pressed mixture.
  6. Step 6: Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm and set.
  7. Step 7: After chilling, remove the bars from the dish using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
