- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, crumble the cooked sausage.
- Add the Bisquick baking mix, milk, cheddar cheese (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, parsley (if using), and black pepper to the bowl.
- Gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix; the dough will be slightly sticky.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls using a cookie scoop or your hands.
- Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For spicier sausage balls, use hot Italian sausage. You can also add other cheeses, such as Monterey Jack or pepper jack. Store leftover sausage balls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
