- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk.
- If using, stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix thoroughly until a dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, add a tablespoon of milk at a time until it comes together.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
- Melt the chocolate chips according to package directions. You can do this in a microwave or double boiler.
- Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Place the chocolate-covered balls onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper or parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
Notes
Store leftover peanut butter balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For a fun variation, add sprinkles or chopped nuts to the melted chocolate before dipping the balls.
