- Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and utensils.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine hash browns, cheddar cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, chopped onion, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything until well combined.
- Step 3: Lightly grease the interior of your crock pot. Transfer the hash brown mixture into the crock pot and spread it out evenly.
- Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until the top is golden brown and edges are crispy.
- Step 5: Serve warm, garnished with additional cheese or chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. You can reheat it in the microwave or on low in the crock pot.
