  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Dried Cranberries chopped
  • 1/2 cup Pecans halves, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Orange Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground, to taste
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions chopped, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in the chopped cranberries, pecans, orange zest, and orange juice.
  3. Add the ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Shape the mixture into a ball.
  5. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled and firm.
  6. Once chilled, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in chopped green onions (optional).
  7. Place the cheese ball on a serving plate and serve with crackers or vegetables.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of pecans and walnuts. You can also add a splash of Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur for an extra kick. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
