  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a lovely depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon This spice is the star of the show, bringing warmth and flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg A pinch goes a long way in adding complexity.
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances all the flavors.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk

Method

  1. Step 1: In a blender, combine 1 cup of rolled oats and 4 cups of water. Blend on high until smooth, typically around 30-60 seconds.
  2. Step 2: Once blended, strain the oat mixture through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher. Make sure to squeeze or press down to extract as much liquid as possible.
  3. Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Gradually add the strained oat milk to the pumpkin mixture, stirring continuously until smooth.
  5. Step 5: Transfer the finished creamer to a sealed container and refrigerate. It will keep well for about 5-7 days.

Notes

Adjust sweetness with maple syrup to your liking. Shake well before using, as separation is natural.
